Gezilecek Yerler
Zuhair Murad
Zuhair Murad ismini duyunca ceket iliklemek gerekiyor sanırım... Onun tasarımları her kadının rüyasını süsler...
PLACES TO VISIT IN BEIRUT
Visiting Martyrs Square, blue-domed mosque, modern area Hamra and luxury summer resort zone was very good. We had coffee at Balima Cafe in countryside referance to recommendation of a valuable person. I also recommend it. There were pretty boutiques where you should visit… We visited there on sunday so all shops were closed and we just looked at the vitrines…
In actuality, I have a lot of pictures in my camera but it packed up and I can just upload the pictures from my mobile phone..
Mosques relieve our mind wherever w ego..
We went to Harissa, watched the wonderful view and drank coffee… It is better to use teleferic but I think it was broken down so we went up by car.
We went to Biblos port where was one of the oldest port in the world.. and visited world's 3rd largest natural caves Jeita.. Worth to see...
We went to Baalbek historical place where was far from the city center.. This was also the second biggest ruin of Roman Empire era.
We saw planty of Phoenician monuments who were the founder of Lebanon. According to archaeologists it is considered as one of the most important religious center in the world outside except Rome. Currently there are 3 ruin temples in Baalbek which are Jupiter (power Lord:symbolizing the man), Bacchus (abundance, fertility and good life) and Venus (Lord of beauty). We visited them and they were impressive. Today, there is no such work with gigantic columns. After visiting this temple, I was stressed. Mum said “places of perished nations can make people stressed so we should not stay here for a long time. I thought verses of Quran, they built high columns but we have destroyed them.” If I am not wrong she said something like that. I think they were Irem nation..
Another interesting thing in Baalbek is that the logo of Versace is the with the handworks here. All brands are inspired by something. So Versace is inspired by Ancient Romans..
STREET FASHION
I observed the style of Muslim women in Beirut.. and then think that we have the most beatiful style in Turkey… Women in Beirut wear tights and tight pants. They are plump so are not look good in tights. Like pants from Paris and blouse from Mecca.. Slim and zero size are popular in Turkey but not in Beirut. Women in Beirut are overweight and wear tight clothes that looks strange…
Women use neon nail polish. There is no woman without makeup and they are beautiful. But it seems it will take a lot of time for them to learn how to dress stylish.
ZUHAIR MURAD
I think we need to respect when we hear his name…He is the trendsetter and designer of planty celebrities’ dresses who are on the red carpet.. all women dream about his designs… Zuhair Murad; started his fashion life in Beirut…and he has his own store in Beirut where I wanted to go and buy a dress for a special day.. it was friday 18:30, normally the shops are closed but the receptionist said it was open…I got on a taxi with mumy… we arrived in fornt of a big new building, it was not like a store. When we walked through the door, the store was closed and the doorman asked if we came to have a meeting with Zuhair Murad. I said “why not, if he is here”.. The door man said “He is here but about to leave because of an appointment. Then Zuhair Murad came. İt was like a joke, I went to his factory by mistake :) anyway, we had a little conversation and I was a little bit scolded for not having an appointment…Then he warned me to have an appointment for the next meeting. Beirut trip ended like that.
